How do you solve this system

xy^(2)+xy+1=0
x^2+x^(2)*y=0

Help please?

From the second equation

x^2[1 + y] = 0

x = 0 and y = -1

but putting this into first equation gives 1 = 0

so the equations are not simultaneous

no solution
