In the image, where is it discontinuous?

answers:
L. E. Gant say: 4x^2 - 9 = (2x +3)(2x-3)
2x^2 - x - 3 = (2x -3)(x+1)

So, check the points x =3/2 and x = -1
-
Como say: Discontuous at :-
2x² - x - 3 = 0
( 2x - 3 ) ( x + 1 ) = 0
x = 3/2 , x = - 1
-
Johnathan say: x = 3/2 (removable discontinuity) and x = -1 (infinite discontinuity). Just factor each part and you'll see why.
-
Born Yesterday say: Look for points where the denominator is zero (undefined).
2x² - x - 3 = 0 when x = 1.5 or minus 1
This is where f(x) is discontinuous.
