Write an equation for a line perpendicular to y=4 and passing through the point (5,12) USE A TABLE TO GET THE EQUATION!!!?

answers:
TomV say: Use your table and verify that all x values in the table are x = 5. Hence the vertical line perpendicular to the horizontal line y = 4 is:

Ans: x = 5

az_lender say: Any line perpendicular to "y = 4" will be vertical, and its equation will be "x = constant." Obviously the constant is 5, if the line goes through (5,12).

I can't see any possible use for a "table" to get the equation. The equation is "x = 5."

Jeffrey say: x = 5
-
ted s say: table is not needed......perpendicular means x is to be constant....thus x = 5 is the required answer
