Ive been prescribed a whole bunch of meds for the past 2 years and the only thing that works for me is adderall and it has to be the brand name, i have a allergic reaction to the generic. and for the past 2 weeks i cant get it filled anywhere. they all says its on backorder. even the small pharmacies. i usually go to cvs for everything but they told me try somewhere else. i called every place in the area and cant find it anywhere. the last place i went to was a local pharmacies and they said they might not have it until DECEMBER!! does anyone know why or how i can get some?

Because Adderall is a controlled substance the DEA is highly involved in regulating its production and sale. One of the DEA's restrictions on controlled substances is to set a national yearly limit on how much of any drug may be produced, typically this is more than enough to cover the nations needs for the entire year, but for some reason, either increased use or a bad estimate, adderall has reached this limit and can no longer be produced until next year.
