Actual (challenging) IQ question: What is the meaning of this pattern of letters

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-12-23] [Hit: ]
..EDIT: Snowdon, B C D is missing from A E F? It should be between A and E, or there a more complicated answer to this.......
W A J M M A J V H T P T F P B

Note: This question is culturally biased in favor of Americans. Thus, it should not be used by other cultures in standardized IQ tests.

Presidents last innitials
EDIT: Hey I just realised Obama's not on there... And sorry I'm too lazy to list them all.
EDIT: Hey I just realised it's only the first fifteen presidents so there's no reason for Obama to be on there... took me a sec

I don't understand how this would measure intelligence. Even if I was from the US, why would knowing the last names of the first 15 presidents have anything to do with my intelligence? I mean, even if you only knew the first 3 or 5 you could probably guess the right answer, but still... It's like those tests where they put really complicated words in the questions and expect to measure intelligence like that. An IQ test should be based on logic, not on history or knowing the dictionary. I took an actual one with a psychologist from my school when I was around 10 and got a pretty high score, but some of the questions are always like the one you posted and it makes no sense.

Totally agree with SchoolSucks argument.

A better test would be:

A E F ? ?
B C D ? ?
