Go to Google search ghost hunters in your hometown. Many of them offer free services. It does sound like something demonic is in your house. Demons are tricky and more times than not are impossible to get rid of. Most people flee the house entirely. You could also try having your house blessed by a clergyman. Good luck to you.

No, demons aren't real. Sounds like your family needs to settle their emotional problems, and that way you'll probably stop having nightmare. Stuff falls over; you don't need things that don't exist to explain that. Physics will do just fine.

My family always have the house blessed before we actually live in it. Have a priest to do a simple task to bless the house(every room, etc) and see if the paranormal activity stops... if not... I suggest leaving the house. No point of messing with something you don't know of.

just pray thats all you can really do. i doubt it though just have a cross on you or the bible in your house and have a lil prayer with your family that could help getting rid of those nightmares.

the garbage can lid was probably a poltergeist but i don't think the dreams are anything paranormal.
