Ghost is my house haunted

I think my house is haunted ... When I was 6 my papa died he could really pick up his feet so he sorta shuffled when I was 6 I was with my mom and sister and I happened to look down the hall towards the kitchen ... I don't mean out of the corner of my eye but I mean looked straight there and I seen a black colored of him shuffeling from right to left and I heard his feet shuffling I must have been the only one that heard it ... I have a cat and sometimes I see some 1 moveout of the corner of my eye and look and see mycat just stairing at that direction focused on something that isn't there ... It's alwayse cold in my house .... I was in the basement and found his ww2 stuff and felt a presence there I went upstairs and came back down onely to see some kind of soot by the stuff ... I sometimes can smell hi
M distinctieally even right now I can smell him but the smell disappears as quickly as it came ... Idk if this is related but I became a machinist on impulse and found out he was one about a year later ..... I can't think of anything else but am I crazy or is my house haunted if so then y ... Is he here to watch over me and mom or what?

if its your father then he is probably looking over you. He seems to have some interest in your well being and probably feels respoonsible for your upbringing. Coldness does happen when ghosts are present that is why ghost hunters carry IR cameras. Creating a scent does occur as well. Cats and animals are more in tuned to the presence of ghosts. I would try to talk to them if you can and see if you get a response from him. Its not a bad thing that you have your father looking over you. I lived with a ghost for several years. When I moved away from the property the ghost was gone.
