The speed of a train changes from 36km/h to 72km/h in 10sec. Calculate the distance travelled during this time

Since 10 seconds is 1/6 of a minute and a minute is 1/60 of an hour,54 * (1/6) * (1/60) = 0.15 km = 150 m-I Hate these questions...I always flunked them in School.......
Thank you so much! For the help.

Is the answer: 6998.4 m. I just want to clarify.

For a steady acceleration, the average speed over the time interval is the average of the two speeds:

(36 + 72) / 2 = 54 km/h

Since 10 seconds is 1/6 of a minute and a minute is 1/60 of an hour, the distance is:

54 * (1/6) * (1/60) = 0.15 km = 150 m

I Hate these questions...I always flunked them in School. You are on a train walking back ward from the middle going two miles an hour and the train is 400 feet long and it is going the speed of 55 miles an hour. How long will it take you to get to the end of the train....and you see a car out the window going 65 miles an hour, how fast does he have to go to be able to get ahead of the train to pass it. Now this is a question.lol...enjoy

s=ut+1/2 * at^2
=10*10+0.5*1*10*10
=150m Ans
