The period T of a simple pendulum is described by T= (2pi)*square root(l/g). Show that this equation gives the correct unit for the period.
Thank you.

The variables with units in the equation are:

l = length, unit = m (metres)
g = accel due to gravity, unit = m/s^2 (metres per second-squared)

l / g has units of m / m/s^2 = s^2 (seconds squared)

So sqrt(l / g) has units of sqrt (s^2) = s (seconds)

which is the correct unit for the period time T.
