What science projects have you done at the State level?Whats your GPA...close to 4.0?......
Hi,
I want to become a nuclear physicist but I don't know which college I should go to. Which is the best and what should I do once I get into college. My uncle is a nuclear physicist at saic so I thought it would be easier to get a job there because he could help me

Really? If you are about to go into college (e.g., a Junior or Senior) and still don't know what universities are the best for physics, I have to question your motivation to be a nuclear physicist.

How many math and science clubs do you belong to? What science projects have you done at the State level? What's your GPA...close to 4.0? What's your SAT score (for Cal Tech, the 2010 accepted students had 2300 plus SAT scores and 3.95 plus GPAs).

My point is this. If you are approaching HS graduation and are still not sure of what schools you should apply to, you are already behind the learning curve in preparing for a career in physics. Physics is not a part-time job.

Instead of asking Answers for the best schools, ask your scholastic counselor at your HS for advice. That's what he or she is supposed to be doing for you.

Cal Tech, Princeton, UC Berkeley...but still talk to your HS counselor.
