958.8N.(4,958.8 x 0.565) = 2,......
The coefficients of static and kinetic friction between a 506 crate and the warehouse floor are 0.565 and 0.370, respectively. A worker gradually increases his horizontal push against this crate until it just begins to move and from then on maintains that same maximum push. What is the acceleration of the crate after it has begun to move?

-
(506 x 9.8) = 4,958.8N.
(4,958.8 x 0.565) = 2,801.722N. required to start it moving.
Friction once moving = (4,958.8 x 0.37), = 1,834.756N.
Net force = (2,801.722 - 1,834.756) = 966.966N.
Acceleration = (f/m) = 966.966/506, = 1.911m/sec^2.
