Last week North carolina got hit HARD by tornados. And is now. I told my friend in Canada about it and she's like " So.. It's just thunder and rain" and I'm like " North Carolina gets worse than bathurst" and she doesn't think so.. So.. Which get's harder thunder storms with Tornadoes, Bathurst Canada, or North Carolina in America?

It all depends on the atmospheric conditions on which storm will get more severe. With that said, anywhere in the US will see more severe weather than any points to the north. This is because the US is a prime zone where cold, dry air from the north meets warm, moist air from the south.
