But Ive never heard of them emerging in January; you might want to entertain the idea that you have a wasps nest in your house. Theyre usually in the loft but they also appear in basements (If you have one.)-Because your house is warmer than outside. They can sense the heat and try to get close to it.......
I thought wasps hibernate in winter but I found a massive one in my house yesterday after I left the door open for a while. My friend had one in her house the other week aswel!
Why are they out in winter and did anyone notice this summer how BIG they are now?

its likely next years queen...they look for warmth,and seclusion to ride out the weather...
