A Few Algebra Equations

I want to give my Daughter 3 or 4 Algebra 1 equations for her to prove to me she can do them.(I do not believe she can) I also need the equations written out with the answers for me to see if in fact her answers are correct.I never took Algebra so I wouldnt know if her answers are correct.Might someone be able to help me?

Question 1: x - 12 = 8
Answer: to get the answer add 12 to both sides
x - 12 = 8
x - 12 + 12 = 8 +12
x= 20
Check: 20 - 12 = 8

Question 2: 21 = b + 9
Answer: to get the answer subtract 9 from each side
21 = b + 9
21 - 9 = b + 9 - 9
12=b
Check: 21 = 12 + 9

Question 3: x + 5 - 14 = -15
Answer: to get the answer subtract 5 from 14 and then add 9 from beach side
x + 5 - 14 = -15
x - 9 = -15
x - 9 + 9 = 15 + 9
x = -6
Check: -6 + 5 - 14 = -15

Question 4: 17 - ( 8 - q ) = 10
Answer: To get the answer drop the parentheses, subtract 17 from 8, and subtract 9 from each side
17 - ( 8 - q ) = 10
17 - 8 + 9 = 10
9 + q =10
9 - 9 + q = 10 -9
q = 1
Check: 17 - ( 8 - 1 ) = 10
17 - 7 = 10
