Isnt a sloth and an ostrich the same thing??? my friends tell me no but i dont believe them because that isnt what i was taught?? :/ Help plz

well for one a sloth is a mammal and the ostrich is a bird. The sloth's closest cousin is armadillos and anteaters. They have long claws to help them climb tree's and don't have a great diet. They primarily feed on leaves, like just green leaves and it doesn't give them much energy meaning they dont do much haha.
