Why do people keep saying the Big Bang Theory is a fact, lol

'Theory' doesn't mean guess, or that something isn't proven. Theories outrank facts - they include facts, and laws, and observations. They tell you not only what will happen, but why it happens. The big bang is a fact in that it happened, and the big bang theory explains how and why. Science is not a matter of belief.

It's a model or an hypothesis, not technically a theory, but there is an awful lot of evidence that it is a fact. Most people obviously do not understand what a "theory" or an "hypothesis" are, or the difference between them, let alone understand what a confirm-able "fact" is.

Because you don't know what a scientific theory is.

A theory is a hypothesis with broad scientific acceptance on a major subject, consistent with all available data, and able to produce useful real world predictions.

As people, humans, if you will, everything we know - life, death, food expiration dates (har har har, now let's be serious...) - well they all have a beginning and an end... everything we know starts somewhere - as humans.

But have you ever considered that 'space' never begun and nor will it ever end?
