Can anyone explain the Big Bang for me

Basically, something catastrophic happened that in a mere second, unraveled almost everything in the world. It was the expansion of what we call the universe. Not much is known about it, because it's only a theory and it's so hard to explain and test things like these....we wouldn't know where to start.

In a second, something happened that produced everything in the world that we see today....noone knows how, or what started it. It's another miraculous event that we can't explain yet, hopefully in the future we will discovered the secrets within the universe.

I'm sorry to say that you do not know what caused it to happen.

The theory is that the universe was created from a singularity (a point) in a colossal event that created both space and time. It really was not an explosion, but an expansion. No one know what caused it, and no one knows why.

We expect the big bang occurred because if we look at all the galaxies around us, they are all moving away from each other. Playing the movie backward would suggest all that matter was in one spot from which it all started.

it starts with a huge pile up of pressure after the big collapse, everything is under so much pressure it's all converted into gas. once every piece of matter has stockpiled into the big collapse, it is released. My theory is that this is the way the megaverse recycles itself, or an even more far fetched theory, that the megaverse isn't the only one, and there's something bigger....

I will refer you to two books, which have differents perspectives on on it. Each explains it better than I could.

1) Genesis

2) "A Brief History of Time" by Stephen Hawking
