What have been the new discoveries about Mars in the past five years

I am doing an article on anything new about mars from the past five years

They found water ice under the surface.
The rover Opportunity is still roving the surface, 30 times longer than it was supposed to last.

Part of writing an article is to do the research...

The most recent data is from the Phoenix Mars Lander, launched in 2007.
It discovered there is ice just below the dusty surface, and some new chemistry information about the soil.
