Depends on how you view it. I'll explain two ways.

If you see time as the measurement that constitutes Zero being the start of the universe (big bang) and Y being the end of the universe (big collapse), then this viewpoint of time is finite. However, very large.

If you see time as a human measurement to calculate a span on nominal existance, say 1 second = some arbitrary value. Then regardless of the universe's existance, time will continue (albiet nobody will be able to monitor it).

I lean more toward the infinite application, but it can be viewed either way!

Time can only be present when there is a change of state. If something never changes, or there is no "something" to change, then time does not exist. The simple application of that is that if you or I are there to see if something else is or is not changing, then we ourselves are changing (getting older) therefore time does exist.

Since the premise of the Big Bang is "something from nothing", it follows that time CANNOT be infinite in a negative direction. Time HAS a starting point, which is the moment of the big bang.

In a positive direction, no one can foresee the future, and any ideas about "the end of the Universe" are purely conjecture -- just theories, no facts.

So time in the positive direction cannot be said to be infinite with any degree of certainty. IF, at some time the universe completes The Big Crunch, as some astronomers think, then time will end, and is therefore NOT infinite. On the other hand, some astronomers think the universe will NOT end, and thus time could, theoretically, continue into positive infinity.

No, because nothing is infinite. Infinity is an undefined value, it is only a mathematical abstract concept.

I think it is stoner-sounding dribble. You didn't say anything. Does this sound like dribble:

"What do you think about this: bugs are infinite or not & why?"

-
Time must be finite, for the only way to measure it's existence is through the measurement of time itself.

-
Time is infinite, but your time isn't so no.
