How to find the cloud coverage in the area

com then look up the observatory.I only use that site for my schools observatory so I dont know if it works with coordinates or anything else but its worth the look.......
I Want to go to the beach to see the starts tonight, but I want to go only if the cloud coverage in the area is good. Does anyone know of a website that shows, not possible showers in the area like a radar, but something that shows how well you can see the sky? I would go and check, but the beach is a 45 min ride from me.

Thanks

There probably is a better site than this one for that, but you might want to download either the Weather Channel Desktop or Application, because those have a choice of cloud coverage maps with radar in their Maps applications. The Doppler radar has a time lapse video, but the cloud coverage app states the time.

If there's a nearby observatory, check cleardarksky.com then look up the observatory.

I only use that site for my schools observatory so I dont know if it works with coordinates or anything else but its worth the look.
