If Time Travel was possible... do you think it would be possible to be your own father/mother

Now this debate isn't whether Time Travel is possible. It probably is. It probably isnt. End of story.

BUT IF IT WAS POSSIBLE

Do you think it would be possible to be your own father?

Like:

You go back in time, have sex with your mother without realizing she was your mother (somehow) and she gets pregnant with YOU.

Think it can happen? I mean it's almost like having sex with your own mother without the time travel...

so I suppose the real question would be this: could you create yourself? That's the way you'd see it as a man.

But what about a woman too? Could you conceive yourself?

All these mysteries.

Did any of you understand that?

I do understand your question and the answer is no.. you could not create yourself. Think of your what your Mother and Father did to conceive you.. that exact sperm fertilised the egg and that created you.. any other sperm from your father would have created a different child. What your saying is your Mum could have conceived with a totally different Father with obviously different sperm, and come out with the same result. Regarding this same question but for a girl.. she would have to go back in time and have sex with her Father and conceive.. ..different egg, different combo..different child. Also would she travel back to these times pregnant, or stay in the past.

I have written and researched extensively intro the mysteries and peculiarities of time. To put it very simply time travels in one direction only... there is no such thing as going into the past, this is an impossibility. However it is possible to go into the future at an accelerated rate. If you do this however , you will not be able to return to the present... it is a one -way trip !
So the very nature of time itsefl prevents any such paradox as you mentioned.
