Why do fat people have fat children

It's not in your genes to be fat, it is more of an environmental factor. So why do most kids from fat parents normally be fat.
I'm not trying to be offensive, just curious.

Because if you live in and environment where everybody else is like that, you won't necessarily pay as much attention to eating healthy because of the example other family members set. ( it's just what i think, i could always be wrong)

I think unhealthy mother and father could make unhealthy food in the 3 meals
and family eat togther,so all of them be fat
