What are some unsolved science mysteries? (Like, curing aids, cancer, etc...)

Please tell me if they can do this already or not, cuz Ive heard of babies in test tubes, but then can anyone put their baby in a test tube in stead of killing it when getting an abortion? (This is not a rhetorical question, by the way!)-Creating some sort of shot that can alter someones IQAnything else you can think of?......
I know of some, can you provide more? And can you verify if any of these are already solved? I'm more about biological/chemical sciences (maybe technology also).

-Aids cure
-Cancer cure
-creating life out of non-living things like atoms
-creating any type of life you want and even modifying their traits (like creating dinosaurs or something, and giving organisms higher IQ or something)
-making a life-form be "born" and grow in a test tube. I don't know if they can do this already? Please tell me if they can do this already or not, cuz I've heard of babies in test tubes, but then can anyone put their "baby" in a test tube in stead of killing it when getting an abortion? Anything else you can think of?

You are clearly a very intelligent and inquisitive student and you deserve answers. Unfortunately, you ask many questions, so I will answer some of them here.
AIDS and, often, cancer are caused by viruses. So is the common cold. We do not yet have cures for viral infections, although I understand that we are getting close. We do have some treatments, just not cures.
re: Creating life out of atoms and small molecules is not a one step process, it requires millions or billions of steps and the knowledge about each of those steps is the domain of many different scientists and is an expensive and time-consuming prospect, so, no one has done all of them in sequence, but lots of people have done different aspects of many, if not most, of the steps.

re: Creating different life forms: You might be interested in the work done on "homeobox" genes. These genes determine the growth of arms, legs, noses, etc. If rearranged in a developing animal, one can create a mouse with three arms or nose where a leg should be or a leg at the top of the head, etc. I think this is along the lines of what you are thinking of.
