I am in elementary school and my class does debates for social studies. I am the on the No side for the debate "Should Cloning Humans Be Legal" We need 5 points, an opening statement, a rebuttal, and a closing statement. I wrote this myself. Is their anymore points I could add? By the way We also do debates with partners my partner is doing the closing and I'm doing the opening
No it shouldn't be legal to clone human beings. To make clones they'll have to test one first and if it's defective and they dispose of it, isn't it considered the same thing as murder? If clones has identical personality's as the person that was cloned there will be a lot of confusion to identify a person. The clone might commit a crime and the original individual might get in trouble for it.
What else should I add?

If human were being cloned, the world would be more overpopulated than it already is. A lot of jobs would be eliminated because people would most likely clone human specifically for labor purposes. Of they were to clone only people with superior genetics and DNA, natural selection would cease to exist, however it would excellerate evolution by a whole lot.

EDIT: Actually, I do have another idea as well. If humans are cloned, they have the same genetic material as eachother. As we know from people who interbred in the past, this lowers out ability to resist serious illnesses.

Cloning should be legal, once we have stem cells mastered. Come with me for a minute, once we have rapid growth completed. We will have rapid testing making close to 300 clones a day. If your telling yourself that wrong, your wrong. the higher brain sections are never activated and just has the ability to walk in a straight line. There plenty of uses for zombie-clones and ill tel you'll a couple now.
