Hello. I plan on doing a science project involving the use of Miracle-Gro, which is a variable I am testing. I know that to sterilize soil to remove the pathogens and bacteria, you must cook it in an oven set to 200°F for 30 minutes. I do not want to get false results because the bacteria had an affect on the plant (so I must sterilize the Miracle-Gro), but in doing so I might potentially lose or damage the nutrients present in the soil due to the extreme temperature. Is there a solution to this problem? Thanks!

it will be difficult to sterilize the miracle gro. you should use an unenriched potting soil as a control and use the miracle gro feed instead.
