Easy Question (One)- Make my decision

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 12-08-18] [Hit: ]
I think the name Edmund Schulman (founder of dendrochronology) was involved in some of the correction work, but I am not sure. Also, look into the use of C-14 in trying to determine if life is present on Mars.If you do decide to look into uranium, look at breeder reactors and the use of gaseous diffusion to concentrate the U-235 in making atomic bomb cores.......
Should I do research on which element? (Which would be easier to research?)

Uranium
Radon
Thorium
Carbon-14

If you do C-14, make sure to do radiocarbon dating and Willard Libby. Also, you might consider the use of dendrochronology to "correct" C-14 dates (that might be hard to track down info). I think the name Edmund Schulman (founder of dendrochronology) was involved in some of the correction work, but I am not sure.

Also, look into the use of C-14 in trying to determine if life is present on Mars.

If you do decide to look into uranium, look at "breeder reactors" and the use of gaseous diffusion to concentrate the U-235 in making atomic bomb cores. Also, Pierre and Marie Curie discovered polonium and radium in left-over uranium ore (from which the uranium had already been removed). It's called pitchblende.

Best wishes with your report.

you'd find a lot of material on uranium. so i'd go with that. it can be kind of difficult to understand though if you don't know a lot about fission, fussion, and nuclear chemistry.

the next best one to do would be carbon 14, but you wouldn't find as much material on it, compared to uranium.

easier...dropping the class is easier...drop out of school is easier

you are in school to learn not take the easy way out
