How does hot water effect crystals growing in water

I grew crystals (one in hot/water and one in cold water) and I just want to know why there was a difference (warm/hot grew better then cold). Be as detailed as possible please! I learn best in specific answers haha. Thanks and God bless!-To answer your question crystals are bigger when it has more time to cool and smaller with less time to cool. That is probably why the ones with warm water are larger because they take up more time to cool down.......
