In the story of noah and the ark, some say most of the water came from inside of the earth

The other 80% comes from vulcanism, from inside the Earth. Lava is very wet. The other geologist is correct. God gave you a brain. You are supposed to learn how to use it.......

20% of the water currently on Earth came from cometary impacts. The other 80% comes from vulcanism, from inside the Earth. Lava is very "wet."

The other geologist is correct. God gave you a brain. You are supposed to learn how to use it. That's your "job" and assignment from God.

If some people actually believe there were huge amounts of water beneath the earth, I would argue to them that it would have been boiled away as steam between the cracks of the earth by geothermal energy a long time ago.

The entire book/story of the bible is a man-made story to control mankind through Hate, Fear, and Mythical Stories and Vague Spooky language.

Some of it came from inside the earth, some of it came from rain, and the rest of it came from the windows of the heavens being opened and the water in the dome being allowed to pour down onto the earth. The earth used to be a giant terrarium with a dome of water between us and the sun. This cause the entire earth to be a tropical paradise with a constant temperature. Up until the time of the flood, it had never rained on earth before. The plants were watered by a mist that rose from the ground. Because of the terrarium effect, there was a much higher level of oxygen in the atmosphere, and the rays from the sun were diffused and weren't as harsh as they are now.

"...on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of the heavens were opened. And rain fell upon the earth forty days and forty nights."

If most of the water did come from inside the earth, then it is quite possible that the combination of the water on empty spaces would collapse the crust of the planet... which is what we see in many places.
