Some might say its global warming, some might say its just natural, but me I have no clue. I thought back and I remembered while watching some show on the history channel, that somewhere in the bible, it says the world will in end in fire,......
I'm a 13 year old atheist who's smarter then the average 9th grader, and the other day I noticed how the heat has been rising each year. I mean, look at all wild fires in Texas we've had this summer. It's insane.! Some might say it's global warming, some might say it's just natural, but me I have no clue. I thought back and I remembered while watching some show on the history channel, that somewhere in the bible, it says the world will in end in fire, or something close to that. But remember that movie "2012" and "The Mayan Calender" and how they both have to do with the world ending in 2012.? Well, even though I'm an atheist and have no belief in god what so ever, I think the world might actually end in fire in 2012. Think about it, all this rising heat causing major wild fires all over the world that evuentally become one big fire burning everything in it's path, eventually consuming the earth in flames and killing off the human population and all living life on Earth. Or perhaps this heat has something to do with the sun coming to it's death and it finally exploding wich would send a MASIVE heat wave directly at Earth, killing us all.
Idk, maybe I'm over thinking this, maybe it's not even close to what's really gonna happen, maybe this was just stupid. But hey, it's just a thought. Tell me what you think about "The World Ending" and 2012.

The movies play on the fears and current thoughts of humans. That's what makes the most money. The themes of movies change with the ages. Twenty years ago the themes were vastly different that what they are today.

As for the Mayan calendar, two points. First, scientists think they miscalculated the exact age, and it is thought they were out by about 50 years, meaning 2062 would be more likely. Second, Mayan inscriptions were discovered about (when converted) our 42nd century. Why bother to leave inscriptions for such a far future if the world is going to end anyway? If you believe in the Mayan calendar, you cannot proclaim the inscriptions as BS. And on top of that, the 14th cycle of the calendar (the one 2012 is supposed to herald) talks about an age of spiritual ascension, not of a doomsday.
