How 'actually' invented the lightbulb

He was neither the first nor the only person trying to invent an incandescent light bulb.In the period from 1878 to 1880 Edison and his associates worked on at least three thousand different theories to develop an efficient incandescent lamp.Edison’s lamp would consist of a filament housed in a glass vacuum bulb. He had his own glass blowing shed where the fragile bulbs were carefully crafted for his experiments. Edison was trying to come up with a high resistance system that would require far less electrical power than was used for the arc lamps. This could eventually mean small electric lights suitable for home use.......
Maybe not who most of you think it is, lets ee how well informed you are

Nicola Telsa, most of his inventions were stolen lol

In addressing the question of who invented the incandescent lamp, historians Robert Friedel and Paul Israel list 22 inventors of incandescent lamps prior to Joseph Swan and Thomas Edison. They conclude that Edison's version was able to outstrip the others because of a combination of three factors: an effective incandescent material, a higher vacuum than others were able to achieve (by use of the Sprengel pump) and a high resistance that made power distribution from a centralized source economically viable.

Early evolution of the light bulb:
1801 - Sir Humphry Davy - Platinum filament
1809 - Sir Humphry Davy - Carbon arc lamp
1835 - James Bowman Lindsay - Incandescent Light Demo
1840 - Warren De la Rue - Vacuum tube enclosure
1841 - Frederick de Moleyns - Powdered charcoal filament
1854 - Heinrich Gobel - Carbonised bamboo filament
1874 - Hoseph Wilson Swan - Carbon fiber filament
1876 - Woodward & Evans - Gas filled "globe"
1880 - Thomas Edison - Long lasting filament
1883 - Lewis Latimer - Better filament production
1910 - William David Coolidge - Tungsten filament

The electric light, one of the everyday conveniences that most affects our lives, was invented in 1879 by Thomas Alva Edison. He was neither the first nor the only person trying to invent an incandescent light bulb.
