I am trying to get my grade up from an F and picked the largest pointed assighnments but how will it effect my grade? it will make my points be 170/252 would that be a c? a b??

It depends on what your teacher is using for grade guide.
If I understand you correctly:
170/252 = 0.674603175
0.674603175 * 100% = 67.5%
Most teachers would consider a D, or possibly a C if the teacher grades on a curve. Maybe you could ask if you could do some extra credit work to raise the points.
