Iodine indicator test?
The iodine test, used for detecting starch.

What does it mean when it turns...
a) blue
b) yellow
c) clear

Please help, especially (c) please. Can you also please give me a reference to a website?

A) Starch is present. Starch forms a blue-black complex with iodine.

B) No starch is present, and the yellow colour of free iodine can be seen.

C) A reducing agent is present that reacts with the iodine, converting it to colourless iodide, which has no effect on starch. Examples are vitamin C (ascorbic acid) or sodium thiosulphate.
