Pi is an irrational number while i is an imaginary (non-real) number. :)

Pi (the one like this: TT) is an irrational number(not a whole number, decimal, fraction, percentage, root, etc)
"i" is not part of the real number system (natural numbers, whole numbers, integer, rational numbers, and irrational numbers). "i" is the square root of negative one. It's used so you could find the square roots of negative numbers.

-
pi is an irrational number as 22/7 has no terminating value..it keeps running on..and i is an imaginary number..like the root of a negative number is irrational..
Hence pi tells i to get real while i tells pi to get rational!

-
Pi is an irrational number and the I is stands for an imaginary number
