If you do draw two radii to the endpoints of the chord. Show the two triangles to be congruent because they have 3 equal sides. After that were the radius and the chord meet form 2 equal angles which are equal to 180o. Therefore they are both right angles.-It cuts the chord into 2 equal parts. Bisects the chord.......
The chord and the radius of the circle meet at right angles. Do you need to prove this? If you do draw two radii to the endpoints of the chord. Show the two triangles to be congruent because they have 3 equal sides. After that were the radius and the chord meet form 2 equal angles which are equal to 180o. Therefore they are both right angles.

-
It cuts the chord into 2 equal parts. Bisects the chord.

-
It makes a 90* angle
