Help with solve this equation

4-[17x-12]+4

4- 17x -12 +4
= -17x -4 (this is the best form)

this isn't an equation! it needs something to be equal to...also, the signs seem pretty wrong.
although, if that's what you've written down: if you equalize it with 0 you get:
4-(17x-12)+4=0 4s are numbers with opposite markings(+,-) so they are 0
17x-12=0
17x=12
x=12/17

help with solve this equation?

4-[17x-12]+4 = 4 - 17x + 12 + 4 = 20-17x
What's the value of it? It has no "=" in this so called "equation".

4-(17x-12)+4 = 0
4-17x+12+4=0
20-17x=0
x=20/17
ck 4-(17(20/17)-12)+4=0
4-(20-12)+4=0
4-(8)+4=0
8-8=0
0=0

4-17x+12+4

= -17 + 20

that's not an equation

4 - (17x - 12) + 4 = 0
17x - 12 = 0
17x = 12
x = 12/17
