If Jane plans to take a college algebra course with Mr. Doodle, determine the empirical probability that she does not receive an F.

P(not F) = 1 - 65/500 = 87/100 since there are 65 Fs and 500 total grades.

The probability that Jane receives an F is 65/500, which is 13/100 (when simplified)
Now probability that Jane does not receive an F is going to be 1 - 13/100 = 87/100

Probability of anything not happening is 1 - (the probability of that thing happening)
