3) Solve 3x^2 + 4x = 2.4) Solve x^2 + 9x + 9 = 0.5) Solve 2x^2 = 14x + 20.Thanks very much for the helpp.........
I need to do some excersises I don't understand about quadratics.... pleasee helpp... :D

1) Quadratic equations that can be solved by factoring can also be solved using the quadratic formula. (always, sometimes, never)

2) If a baseball player hits a baseball from 4 feet off the ground with an initial velocity of 64 feet per second, how long will it take the baseball to hit the ground? Use the equation h = –16t2 + 64t + 4.

3) Solve 3x^2 + 4x = 2.

4) Solve x^2 + 9x + 9 = 0.

5) Solve 2x^2 = 14x + 20.

Thanks very much for the helpp... .. I super appreciated.. :D!

1) always

2) h = -16t^2 + 64t + 4 = 0
16t^2 - 4t - 4 = 0
Using Quadratic Formula, t ≈ 0.64 or t ≈ -0.39 (reject)

It will take about 0.64 sec to hit the ground.

3) 3x^2 + 4x = 2
Using Quadratic Formula, x ≈ 0.39 or x ≈ -1.72.

4) (x + 3)^2 = 0
x + 3 = 0
x = -3

5) Again, using Quadratic Formula:
x ≈ 8.2 or x ≈ -1.22.

1. All quadratics can be solved using the quadratic formula, not all quadratics can be solve using factoring.

2. Use quadratic formula to find zeros. 1 will be negative and 1 will be positive, use the positive one.

3. x^2 +4x - 2 = 0 use quadratic formula

4. Use quadratic formula

5. 2x^2 -14x - 20 = 0 use quadratic formula
