150% of what number equals 300

I learned to translate the sentence. Anytime you have a problem like this, you simply translate it:
150% = 150%
of = multiplication
what number = n (Variable)
Equals = Equals
300 = 300
Now you have the equation: 150% times n = 300
What you do is simplify to 150%n=300
Divide both sides by 150%, which to make that simpler, put it into decimal form, which is 1.5.
So you just do 300/1.5 and you get 200.

200, because 100% of 200 is obviously 200, and then 50% of that is 100. so 200+100=300 :)

300/1.5=200

300/x=150/100
150x=30000
x=200
