but since will move the decimal left three should the 3 not be negative ??? or is it only negative if it passes 1500 like when it is .1500 ??......
so 1500 will be written as 1.50x10^3 .....but since will move the decimal left three should the 3 not be negative ??? or is it only negative if it passes 1500 like when it is .1500 ??? or my question would be what would 1.50x10^-3 look like ?

-
1.50 × 10⁻³ = 0.0015

1.50 × 10³ = 1500.

Since you moved the decimal 3 places left, you need a +3 to return it to where it should be.

Just remember that large numbers are + powers and small numbers are negative powers.

When you change from scientific notation to regular notation you will move the decimal 3 places to the right, therefor a positive 3.
