0=4x^2+83x+485-Did you type out the equation incorrectly? Because the answers would be complex numbers, and itd be pretty difficult to just factor those out.-1.2. Think of two numbers that add to be 83 and multiply to be 1940.......
I've learned how to do this, I just can't remember. Can someone please help me? THANK YOU!

Did you type out the equation incorrectly? Because the answers would be complex numbers, and it'd be pretty difficult to just "factor" those out.

1. Multiply the coefficients on the first and last term together

(4)(485) = 1940

2. Think of two numbers that add to be 83 and multiply to be 1940.

No two terms do this.

3. Plug in to quadratic formula to verify that there are no rational factors.

Yep.
