Hello, I tried the following question;
a)Find the exact value of the following;
tan(π/12):
This is what I did;
I rewrote the expression as tan(π/3 - π/4)
Then I did the following;
( tan(π/3) - tan(π/4) ) / ( 1 + tan(π/3)tan(π/4) )
Than I evaluated that to be; (sqrt(3) - 1) / (1 + sqrt(3) <---- My answer
Could someone please confirm my working, I have the actual answer to this question; it is
(sqrt(2)(sqrt(3) - 1)) / 4
Basically all I am asking is if my answer is correct, how can i make it the same as the actual answer.
Thanks in advance.

I DO AGREE with Your Answer

Take your answer and rationalize

(sqrt(3) - 1).........(1 - sqrt(3))
**************..X..**************
(1 + sqrt(3))........(1 - sqrt(3))

sqrt(3)-sqrt(9)-1+sqrt(3)
***************************
..........1-sqrt(9)

2sqrt(3)-3-1
*************
......1-3

2sqrt(3)-4
***********
......-2

-sqrt(3)+2

ANSWER..............2-sqrt3

THIS ANSWER IS IS IS CORRECT!...don't know where you got that other answer from

Check on you calulator (in radian mode)

tan(pi/12) will equal 2-sqrt3

I don't know these things but just know one thing that : you = I

Prove : Sharma= Brahmin Ramamurthy = Brahmin

therefore , Brahmin = Brahmin

=> you = I

Proved.

Brahmins called sinx as "JIVA'' ! Did you know before !
