I know its my homework put i have alot to do an i need help!

Ex 1.) A 23ft cable is cut into two pieces, one three times as long as the other. how long are the pieces?
Ex 2.)If seven times a certain number is subtracted from 6, the result is five times the number. What is the number?
Ex.3.)Chris bought a baseball card in 1975. By 1985, the value of the card had tripled. Since 1985, the value has increased by another $30. The card is now worth five times its original value. How much was the card worth when Chris bought it?
Ex 4.)A clothing store crops the price of a suit 25% to a sale price of $93. What was the original price of the suit?
Ex 5.)An investment is made at 12% simple interest. It grows to $812 at the end of 1 year. How much was invested originally? (P+Prt=A)
Ex 6.)The sum of two consecutive odd integers is 36. What are the integers?
Ex 7.)Field goals in basketball count two points each. In one game, Harold had one less field goal than Gunther. Together they scored 46 points on field goals. A) How many points did each player score on field goals? B) How many field goals did each play make?
Ex 8.)One angle of a triangle is five times as large as the first angle. THe measure of the third angle is 2 degrees less than that of the first angle. The sum of the measures of the angles in a triangle is 180 degrees. How large are the three angles?
Ex 9.) FInd three consecutive odd integers such that the first plus three times the second, minus twice the third is 44.

Please show work!!!!!

First one to get the right answers and shows work gets 10 points.

1. 23/4 = 5.75
5.75 * 3 = 17.25
One piece is 5.75ft, and the other is 17.25ft

2. 6-7n=5n
6=12n
0.5=n
Number is 0.5

3. 3n + 30 = n
2n = -30
n = -15
I know it can't be -15, I typed this and presumed it was wrong, but when you actually try it with positive 15 as original price, it is correct.
so the original price is $15 but i cannot tell you how!

4. 93*1.25 = $116.25

5. 812/1.12 = $725 originally

6. 17 and 19 - trial and error

7. 46/2 = 23
23+1 and 23-1
Gunther - 24 Harold - 22

b. 24/2 = 12 for Gunther. 22/2 = 11 for Harold

8. 26 is first angle, second is 130 and third is 24 - trial and error

9. 23, 25 and 27 (trial and error)
23 + 75 - 54 = 44

-
Ex 7-
a- 24 for gunther 22 for harold
b-12 for gunther 11 for harold

-
That's cheating :L
