Two easy questions about graphing functions

-yeah u can just plug in values for x, then see what the output of y values are,......
1) If a question asks you to graph f(x) = |x+2)

How would I approach this? I graphed it by moving it 2 units to the left and then drawing a line through it. What's the difference between f(x) = |x+2) and f(x) = |x+2|?

2) As for my second question, my paper says to graph f(x) = x^2-2x

Do I just plug in x values and graph? (with a negative parabola?) or do I have to find the y-intercept as well?

Thanks!

yeah u can just plug in values for x, then see what the output of y values are, then u plot the coordinates
