First integer: x
Second integer: x+1

x = 2(x+1) + 5
x = 2x + 2 + 5
x = -7

So the two integers are -7 and -6

x+1 = y x = lower integer, y = higher
x=5+2y

(5+2y)+1 = y

6 = -y
y = -6
so x = -7

Check: (-7) - 5 =? 2 * (-6)
