Find y, if (-30 degrees,y) lies on the graph of y=8tan3(x+75degrees)-3. Give your answer as an exact value

First start in bracket,Second multiply this number by 3 (Im assuming you meant multiplied by 3 and not raised to the third power),Third take the tangent of 135 degrees, remember tan is sin/cos,Fourth multiply answer by 8,Fifth subtract -3,......
How would I go about this type of question?

You gotta know the unit circle to get exact value and the order of operations to know where to start go from there.

First start in bracket, x = -30 so (-30+75) = 45 degrees
Second multiply this number by 3 (I'm assuming you meant multiplied by 3 and not raised to the third power), 3(45) = 135 degrees
Third take the tangent of 135 degrees, remember tan is sin/cos, so tan(135) = -1 (you lucked out here to get a whole number so calculator would of worked)
Fourth multiply answer by 8, 8(-1) = -8
Fifth subtract -3, -8-3 = -11
