What is a sample size in maths

You can do computer simulations.-In this context the sample size is the number of throws,......
I got this assignment about two dices. It says to toss them an add the scores together and it's telling me to use sample sizes of 50 and 500. I don't understand

A sample size of 50 means that you need to simultaneously (at the same time) toss the two dice 50 times.

Example:
1st toss: Die1 = 2; Die2: 4; Total: 6
2nd toss: Die1 = 5; Die2: 3; Total: 8

50th toss: Die1 = 6; Die2: 1; Total: 7

Then get the grand total for all the 50 tosses.

The sample size refers to how many observations of the dice you make.
The first means toss the dice 50 times so that you will have 50 number pairs,
the second means toss the dice 500 times so that you will have 500 number pairs.
I hope you have plenty of time !
You can do computer simulations.

In this context the sample size is the number of throws, ie 50 throws of 2 dice (adding up 100 dice) and 500 throws of 2 (adding up 1000 dice)
