Solve by elimination:
x - y + 2z = - 7
y + z = 1
x = 2y + 3z

-
set the first equation = to x, so x= y-2z-7
next, plug into the x in the third equation: y-2z-7=2y+3z
for the second equation, solve for either y or z, in this case ill use y: y=1-z
plug in the y into the elongated equation:
(1-z)-2z-7=2(1-z)+3z
solve for z:
1-z-2z-7=2-2z+3z
-6-3z=2+z
-8=4z
-2=z
plug in z into one of the original equations: y+z=1
y+(-2)=1
y=3
now, do the same for x: x=2y+3z
x=2(3)+3(-2)
x=6+(-6)
x=0
