---1.Multiplying throughout by y-3,Multiplying throughout by 4,!!!......
1. 4/y-3 + 2 = 1
2. x/2x-1 - 3 = 1/4

STEP by STEP please!!

-
1)
4/(y - 3) + 2 = 1
subtract 2 from both sides:
4/(y - 3) = -1
multiply both sides by (y - 3):
4 = -1(y - 3)
distribute:
4 = -y + 3
subtract 3 from both sides:
1 = -y
divide both sides by -1:
y = -1

2)
x/(2x - 1) - 3 = 1/4
add 3 to both sides:
x/(2x - 1) = 13/4
multiply both sides by (2x - 1):
x = 13/4(2x - 1)
distribute:
x = 26x/4 - 13/4
subtract 26x/4 from both sides:
x - 26x/4 = -13/4
create common denominator:
4x/4 - 26x/4 = -13/4
multiply through by 4:
4x - 26x = -13
-22x = -13
divide both sides by -22:
x = 13/22

-
1.
4/y-3 + 2 = 1
Multiplying throughout by y-3,we get
4 + 2(y - 3) = y - 3
4 + 2y - 6 = y - 3
- 2 + 2y = y - 3
2y - y = - 3 + 2
y = - 1

x/2x-1 - 3 = 1/4
Multiplying throughout by 4,we get
4x/2x - 1 - 12 = 1
Multiplying throughout by 2x - 1`
4x - 12(2x - 1) = 2x - 1
4x - 24x + 12 = 2x - 1
- 20x = 2x - 1 + 12
- 20x -2x = 11
- 22x = 11
- x = 11/22
- x = 1/2
x = -1/2

!!!HOPE I HELPED!!!

-
1. 4/y-3 = 1 - 2
4= -1(y-3)
4 = -y + 3
4-3 = -y
-1 = y

Someone else can do the second one. I'm too tired. Are you sure that second one's right? I get an odd number.
