a) h(x)= 8x^2 - 16x +8

b) j(x) = -6(x-1)(5-x)

Thank you very much :)

Please show all steps!

To find the x-intercepts (Zeros), let y = 0.

a) h(x) = 8x^2 - 16x + 8

h(x) = 8x^2 - 16x + 8
h(x) = 8(x^2 - 2x + 1)
h(x) = 8(x - 1)(x - 1)
h(x) = 8(x - 1)^2

Therefore, the x-intercept (Zero) is: 1
x - 1 = 0
x = 1

b) j(x) = -6(x - 1)(5 - x)

j(x) = -6(x - 1)(5 - x)
j(x) = -6(x - 1)(-x + 5)

Therefore, the x-intercepts (Zeros) are: 1, 5
x - 1 = 0
x = 1
and
-x + 5 = 0
-x = -5
x = -5/-
x = 5
