Do random numbers exist

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-11-15] [Hit: ]
I cant really have a take on it because Ive never used Mathematics to connect dates with events.-They do indeed exist, however, the only true way to obtain random numbers is with a symmetrical indicator array around a decaying isotope.-Well pi has no known pattern to it. Also,......
Can everything be solved by using 'pattern-spotting' logic?

It sounds like you've just seen that film with Nicolas Cage 'The Knowing' which is very much fictional, but there have been studies into this and a few reports where people have added up dates and worked out how many people die, I think it's coincidental but a lot of people believe it. I can't really have a take on it because I've never used Mathematics to connect dates with events.

Well pi has no known pattern to it. Also, radioactive decay is a random process, you never know exactly when the substance will decay.

It is a good question. Do any of the high-flying mathematicians know of a full-proof test of randomness?
